Suffolk Market Events took over the ownership and management of Nayland Farmers' Market last November, held in the village of Nayland, six miles north of Colchester and nestled into the Stour Valley.

 

The Farmers' Market was in decline for a couple of years with a continuous drop in both customer and producer numbers. Today the market is a lot busier but it needs your support so please do come along and support this fantastic village market.

 

Every month around twenty of the region's very best local producers fill the village hall with fantastic produce all of which has come from within a 30 mile radius of Nayland with traders travelling from Colchester, Lawford, Sudbury and Wormingford. 

Current traders include fresh vegetables from Keeper's Nursery, Bowers Beef in Pentlow, gorgeous sausage rolls from Pin Mill, local sausages from Totham Bangers, The Jam Shed, Kris Marriott Felting, Trimley Herbs, Good Souls Bakery, The Pie Kitchen and Nuthouse Shortbread.

 

All the food at the market is grown, baked, brewed and butchered by the person who is selling it so that you, the customer can find out everything you want to know before you buy - there are no hidden surprises. Plus our new cafe is opening this month so you can sit inside or outside and watch the world go by!

Huge thanks to The Rose & Crown pub in Great Horkesley who have kindly agreed to let us display a Nayland Farmers' Market sign on their land in front of the pub. Support like this, from other local businesses makes a huge difference and we are really grateful. Thanks a lot to all at the Rose & Crown.
