​Where are you based?
Bentley Suffolk and Bury St Edmunds Suffolk.



How long have you been in business?

​We have been trading for 6 years.



​Is it a family/traditional business?
It is a real family affair as I couldn't have built the smokehouse without their support.



​Tell me a bit about your products – how long is the season, what is your variety, which is the most popular?​

Stour Valley Smokehouse are purveyors of fine smoked foods, our range is extensive and includes cheddar, brie, haloumi, stilton and goats cheese.  salmon, mackerel and haddock, biltong, pancetta, ham, back and pheasant as well as smoked nuts, smoked olives, tapenade, smoked salmon mousse, stuffed pepperdews and sunblush tomatoes.
The most popular items at many markets is often the cheeses particularly goats cheese and stilton.  But the salmon mousse is also a favourite,  made from my smoked salmon, creme fraiche and chives this is great with pasta or salad or served as a dip or just spread on toast.



Have you got a funny story/memory related to your business that you would like to share about our Markets

​When moving in my new home i immediately set to work building the smokehouse and started smoking straight away. And within a few minutes there was a loud banging at the door and our neighbours were standing there shouting "YOUR SHED IS ON FIRE" it was only when we handed them some cheese that they were satisfied it was a smokehouse and not burning down the house.

​We are at Lavenham and Sudbury Farmers Market as well as the Great East Swim, the Bury St Edmunds events and the Hedingham events.
